St. Cruz has several places of interest, Almacho Khuris (Souls Cross), Saint Anthony's Chappel, Char Khabbe (Four Pillars), etc.. In this post I am sharing to you about this place called Vailankanni Saibinicho Khuris (Cross of Mother Vailankanni).
This
cross is located alongside the Vasantrao S. Dempo Marg. The locals here have a
very good faith in this cross. They say that what ever you ask for, Mother
Vailankanni grants them. The feast of this cross is celebrated with great pomp
& fervor. People from various neighbouring villages come here to
receive the blessings of Mother Vailankanni. The famous Char Khabbe (Four
Pillars) is situated alongside this cross.
