Chimbel

Driving 6 kms east of Panaji city, but keeping away from the beaten path, one reaches the little- known village of Chimbel in the Ilhas of Tiswadi Taluka.

The habitat can be reached from both from both, Merces and Ribandar.

Chimbel is a neighbor to Ribandar to the North, Merces in the west and Curca Santana on the East.

 In Chimbel there aren’t as many as large mansions as in the other villages of Goa. But the village is blessed with a hardworking population, majority of whom are from the kunbi community.
