                                       Cashew Cultivation in Chimbel.

“Cashew”  also known as “Caju” is a famous fruit of Goa. The fruit as well as the seed is edible.  Cashewnut  is a dryfruit that every tourist is sure to buy when he visits Goa. There is a vast plantation of cashew found in chimbel. During the cashew season the aroma of cashew is spread all over the forest. The cajukars extract the juice from cashews to make Hurrak and Niro. They also make "Caju Feni".
Birds and animals like Peacock and Fox are also found in these forests.
